In 1906 Mrs Brown established a cafe within her home serving tourists that came to enjoy
the many delights of Laxey especially the Great Laxey Wheel. As her business grew she incorporated the house next door and
a local legend was set.
My name is Tracey Dorn, in May 2008 I became the new owner. From it's humble beginnings Browns
was a cafe. Previous owners have slowly geared the menus more towards a restaurant. It is my intention to firmly place Browns
as a restaurant of distinction in the Isle of Man.
I have installed many new items of equipment in the kitchen. The dining room has been renovated
and a new bar fitted. New menus are now in place and I only use the very best of produce. Being passionate about food every
order is cooked fresh to your liking.
Browns can be hired for private parties, club meetings and training evenings by forward appointment.
In favourable weather an enclosed patio area is available.
I would like to thank everyone that has come to Browns since I took over, many have become
friends and regulars. Please book and join us one evening.
Theme nights will be coming soon along with live entertainment. Juicy Lucy, a famous band
from the 70's have been booked to play at Browns in June!
